We have just moved past three months to go for the Biogen Pete Marlin Surfski Race and it is now time to make sure our plans fall into place so the 2025 event on October 25th and 26th is the best ever.

The 2025 edition is even more exciting because we are already seeing a spin-off from the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships which are taking place in Durban the week before our event. A healthy sprinkling of international paddlers have indicated they will be travelling to East London from KZN after the World Champs, and so we are excited to be welcoming some Aussies, Americans and European paddlers to the Biogen Pete Marlin this year.

The entries have started arriving in our offices and that also means Billy and his Funky Pants team are planning some overtime, because each entrant who enters early will be getting a pair of custom-designed Biogen Pete Marlin Funky Pants.

The deadline for entrants to become a surfski fashionista is September 7th. Anybody who enters after that date will miss out on a free pair of pants that are the height of fashion on the beach, and will also prove you were part of one of the best surfski races in the country.
