MESSAGE FROM RACE DIRECTOR, CHARL
Following consultation with my course committee with some pretty well thought out analysis 👀, and our athlete representatives, here is the provisional race call:
🏁 SINGLES COURSE: Saturday. Batch check-in at 10.30am. Yellow Sands (caravan park beach) to Orient Beach (Harbor). We will start the race approximately 1 hour thereafter
🏁 DOUBLES COURSE: Sunday. Batch check-in at 9am (TBC). Nahoon to Yellow Sands
Saturday Weather forecast: Light NE Wind with a following moderate East swell – A NE wind will create runs at around 10 knots, but with the persistent NE on the days prior, there will be runs and holes at 6 knots
Sunday Weather forecast: Moderate SW wind with a moderate swell.
Please note that this call remains subject to change. Our priority is a safe, fair and well-run race, and the decisions will balance the race itself with the wider event, post-race proceedings, logistics and, where possible, Sunday travel arrangements for those heading home.
